It’s warm and fuzzy

Doesn’t it make your day when a total stranger is nice to you?

I was grocery shopping this morning and a woman walks up to me and says “Excuse me, but I HAVE to ask”…pauses…I’m just standing there with my mouth hanging open wondering what it is she could possibly ask me. “…is your hair naturally curly?” I laughed and said “yeah, it is” while bent over the front of the cart a bit.

You wouldn’t believe how many people come up to me, out of no where, and ask me this question. And from the way I reacted I think she could tell. Then she starts walking away while saying “I am SO jealous!” haha It made me feel good though. It always does when someone says something like that. They are all nice-nice and smiling.

Times like that it reminds me of that commercial where one person sees another person doing something nice for someone, and they turn around and do something nice for someone else and another person sees it, and they turn around and do something nice for someone else, and so on and so on. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

So another woman was walking around very confused looking…she even mumbled “Now where is that cheese”. They moved things around (they like to confuse people, I swear) and it wasn’t where it usually was, and I just happen to see where it was so I told her. She had to back track a little then come back past me and she smiled and laughed. I smiled and laughed and mentioned how they move things around too much. More smiling and chuckling.

I dunno…it’s just nice to be nice. It makes you wonder why some people seem to get off on being mean to other people. I see it a lot on Yahoo Answers and I really don’t get it. How can acting mean (online or not…I don’t care) make you feel good about yourself?
