It was my mom’s birthday on Monday, so I decided to make her a cake. Well I usually do make a cake, but this time I tried something different I found online. And of course it didn’t come out like it looked in the picture. But it was still fun to try. I think I need more practice. *L* A lot more. I should have tried a pumpkin cake, it being so close to halloween, but stupid me went with a summery theme. Doh! (btw, the glasses on the cake are oreo cookies. I thought that was a cute idea. :p )

Facebook isn’t as boring as I thought. I’m actually getting into it. I have 4 friends (waiting on a fifth) LOL. But it’s fun…now that I’m getting use to it. *thinking of forcing Orion to join*  haha

Well everything else is just hunkey dorey. Actually I’ve been feeling pretty good these past few days *knocks on wood*. Nothing major going on in my life, except for Zoey having cancer. But she’s doing so good right now it doesn’t even seem like she’s sick. I’m just enjoying life…taking it one day at a time.

My Digital Camera is slowly losing it’s life. I’ve dropped it, fallen on it, the flash doesn’t work right, the lens struggles to come out sometimes, it keeps showing errors. The part where it opens to put the card in…it wont stay closed so I have a piece of tape holding it closed. It’s pretty pathetic.

My card that held over 100 pics finally bit the dust the other day. So now I have to use this other card that only holds 15 pics.

I feel so lost. *L*

So I guess I’ll be getting a new camera some time this week. I’m just not sure what to get now. Hmmmm….

Well I went and did it. I joined FaceBook, and now I wish I didn’t. haha  It seems kinda boring? I know a lot of people are there, I keep seeing it where ever I go. Especially at the Soap forum I’m at. And I thought eh, what the hell. Might as well jump on the bandwagon.

Onie had even asked me to join a while ago but I said no. Hmmmm…are you still there?

I dunno. I’m already at a few other sites. I’m happy and content with those. I’ll probably just end up deactivating the account at FaceBook, unless someone can convince me it’s worth it.

Zoey had some weird growth growing on her left hind leg (yeah I know, gross). I really didn’t think anything of it. She’s getting along in years (she turned 7 this August) so I thought it was just that…a growth. It happens sometimes when dogs gets older. I’ve had a few dogs in my lifetime to know this.

So she had an operation to get it removed. When I went to go pick her up that evening she couldn’t even get up, so I had to leave her there overnight. Poor thing. As soon as she heard my voice she was struggling to get up, but it wasn’t going to happen.

The next day I picked her up and she seemed happy to see me. She was somewhat out of it, but obviously glad to be going home. All I had to do now was keep her from licking her stitches (which was no easy task) and wait for the results from the biopsy.

Well, to make a long story short, she has Cancer. “Spindle Cell Sarcoma” to be exact. It stinks though because I have no idea how long she has, or when she’ll start getting sick. All I can do now is watch her for signs and make her last days happy.

The ‘news’ came to me like a punch in the gut though. I didn’t expect that at all, and it’s left me feeling like total crap…

Wow. I haven’t posted in such a long time. Been busy and not feeling like blogging at all. Bad me. So here’s a quick update.

I just dropped Meeka off at the vets. She cracked one of her back teeth and needs to have it pulled. It’s really bothering me because my other cat (of 13 years) got sick right after he had dental surgery and he died. So there are bad memories for me. Odds are she’ll be okay, but I can’t shake that awful feeling from that last time. Blah…

My son is now going to College. Not only does he work hard and has a steady girlfriend (9 months now) he’s juggling school work as well.  I don’t know where the time went. I miss that “little boy”, but yet I look at him now and I’m SO proud of him.

I started a digital portrait painting of Ramsay from Hell’s Kitchen. I have no idea when it’ll be finished, but I can’t wait to show it off.

I’ve been watching my soap for a very long time now and recently started watching another one, which is right after it. Yes..that’s what I need. Another hour sucked out of my life. Wasted on soaps. haha

Finally got new furniture for that room that has nothing in it (*pokes Jamie*). I should be posting pics of that sometime soon.

I simply cannot stand this humid weather. Walking outside is like walking into a sauna. I _hate_it. I’ve been on a few late night walks on my street, but I miss going out into the woods with my dog for our ‘hikes’.

I had a funeral to go to that I really don’t want to get into here, among other things. I like blogging but I also  feel like not everyone  needs to know every_little_thing about my life. Especially the [very] personal stuff. But that’s just me. To each his own…
