I went for a nice walk this morning with Zoey in the woods behind our house. Wow was it nice. No bugs! I love walking in the woods with her, but usually the bugs are so annoying that half way through it I’m practically running home to get away from them. This time I could enjoy it and take some pictures in peace (and I was able to get a half way decent picture of Zoey. Usually I can only get a shot of her butt because she is always in front of me *L*).

The trees look so beautiful with their leaves just starting to change colors. Massachusetts is well known for that (still have a good few more weeks to go before they really stand out). I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else this time of year though. It makes me wonder how people can like living in places like Florida and not be able to enjoy the seasons as they change (especially winter/Christmas…with no snow. Blah…how can they?). I don’t think I could be happy living like that.

So right now I am just sitting here on my lazy ass, enjoying my coffee and watching Life Time Movies (lol). The windows are open because it’s finally nice out there (I was really getting tired of that humid weather). It’s so cool in here. I’m happy… enjoying my (lazy) Sunday. ^^

Well it’s official, here anyway. The leaves are changing and falling. Soon to begin is an almost never-ending war against cleaning the leaves.
Doesn’t make it any easier the fact the house is literally in the middle of the woods. I can spend close to two hours leaf blowing on some occasions. Makes me wish I could just light them all ablaze. Now that would be something, a sea of fire on your driveways and lawns.
Gets to the point there is no where left to push or blow the leaves to. Get stacked up higher than snow banks sometimes around here. Three, four-feet tall walls of leaves that don’t wanna be pushed back any further.
I also learned the hard way not to use a leaf blower for so long without gloves. Blisters and numb hands anyone? Almost makes me dread doing it, but hearing the drone of the engine and the fumes making my head light, I tend to zone out while doing it.
Very peaceful really, just zone out and sweep back and forth with the blower…
That picture is bren’s, so don’t give me credit for it. lol

Shakespeare aside, all I can say is wow, it got chilly fast. Last weekend it was murderous heat and now the best I can say is it isn’t lower than 50 and foggy. Looking at my 6-day forecast, supposed to be getting up to 70, 75, 80 and eventually 85 by Saturday as this week goes on.
I hate this kind of weather though, major variations in temperatures, not just cold at night hot during day, but also from day to day. Last week I swear, one day would be barely 55 mid-day and barely 35 in the mornings; the next day 80 plus. This always kills me because I have no time to adjust.
Wish the weather would just be a slow transition from warm to cold as Fall comes on.
On a side note, closely watching the trees for leaf changes. Looks like one tree got a head start and is dropping its leaves before they even turn yellow. That or it is dying and will drop on my head over the winter. Either way, I hate it when the trees have no leaves and there is no snow to be seen though, just looks so barren and wrong to me.
