Well I saw the doctor about my finger yesterday. Fun times were had by all. He had to take another x-ray of my finger, wanted to see if it shifted or anything. Apparently he is worried that because of the extreme angle of the break he is worried it may either slide, twist or do both. If that becomes the case then I’ll need some friggen screws put into my finger to hold it where it should be. He also confirmed that it did in fact break all the way through.

Will be going back in about nine days to have another x-ray done to see if the finger has shifted. He was impressed that it hasn’t yet, apparently I’m not doing too bad of a job. I set my own finger and I’m caring for it properly, who would have thought that was possible?

Hopefully with some luck this will heal fast and not need anything drastic done. I must also say it is interesting trying to take a shower with your hand in a plastic baggy…

On another note, it seems they will make a pillow out of virtually anything. I thought dildolls and tampons were weird, how about a massive wiimote? Now those look like some great flogging and pillow war tools if you ask me.

Speaking of the Wii, another plus in my books with it is that I can still play some of the games due to the simplistic controls. I could do Wii Sports left-handed if I were so including, and Super Paper Mario just requires you hold the wiimote like the original NES controller; easy to do with a pinky incapacitated. Glad I got this thing

I did make the mistake though of shaking the wiimote with my hand as part of what the game wanted, forgot to put it in my left… habit doh.

Well I can’t type too easy now, one handed. Was doing some work in the brook, slipped on a wet rock, twisted around so I didn’t go face first and crashed. Heard a nice snap as the water splashed up on me. Thought I broke my glasses. Then to my horror I looked at my finger.

My right pinky was bent left just after the knuckle, away from my other fingers. In shock I run inside dripping wet, I get my mom after changing my pants and getting an ice bag and we go to the hospital.

I get left there, get my x-ray done. Wait some more, my dad arrives for picking me up. The doctor calls us over to see the x-ray and this is what the first bone in my pinky looked like: bent tree

Of course it was back in place because at home I pushed it back. I split it along the diagonal, just barely didn’t reach the other end, hung on by a thread.

So here I am now, splinted up, not too much pain. Now I’m right-handed, and this was my right pinky which brings me to this:

The only thing I keep wondering, how am I going to wipe my butt?

As per bren’s request (How could someone resist her asking a favor!), here is my list of 8 random facts.

1. I think cats are the best pets out there, but I also think there is a such thing as too many.
2. I can’t stand driving cars or being in them, I hate how low they are to the ground which makes it hard for me to get in and out. I also feel safer higher off the ground from those massive SUV’s, but I’d also never drive a gas guzzler.
3. I’m a dirty, filthy, horrible Mac user who loathes Windows. It just drives me nuts every time I try to use it.
4. I’m not afraid to call people out to their face if they’re doing something dumb. Like Tuesday night I yelled “Shut up” to some punk teenagers who were yelling “dirka dirka” and “jihad!” while the fireworks were going. I’ve also scared a whole movie theatre. Funny story really.
5. I used to be the small kid everyone picked on in school. Boy did that turn around once I hit 6 feet tall and got bigger. Hit my growth spurt late.
6. I absolutely love Nintendo, I think they’re the best game company out there next to Sega.
7. I can’t stop popping my bones and joints in creepy ways, bad habit. Tends to gross people out due to how loud it is.
8. I am surprisingly flexible for my size, can still get my foot over my head for example.

1. If I drink soda I usually get the hiccups.

2. I am terrified of spiders and usually freeze up when I see one. Yet I am not afraid of anything else (ie. snakes, worms, mice or anything else that usually frightens other women.)

3. The movie The Exorcist scares the crap out of me. To me that’s the scariest movie ever made.

4. I can move my toes in odd ways. My son hates it when I do it and he will leave the room.

5. I hate the sound of my own voice. I don’t like to be taped and have to listen to it, so I usually try not to say anything.

6. I can whistle through my teeth. I never whistle the normal way.

7. I made prom queen at my prom in high school.

8. I am terrible with remembering birthdays. My sister has to call me every time to remind me.

I’m not going to tag anyone else and make them do this, but I’d like to see orion, lorri, cherry and onestar do this. *pokes*
