Awhile back I saw a standup routine by Ray Romano, and the particular standup show he did was ”Live At Carnegie Hall.” One part of the act he did a bit about taking showers, one point he brought up is why can’t we remember whether or not we washed our hair?
He went on about how even though it would of been a few moments earlier, he always forgets if he washed his hair. Can never remember, would go through the whole process step-by-step and come up with nothing.
Now I don’t know if this applies to women, but it seems a general consensus is that men have trouble remembering whether or not they already washed their hair in the shower; well at least I do. It’s so damn annoying.
I have to rub my hands through my hair and try to see if I can smell any traces of shampoo, but I’ll usually just give up and do it again if I’m unsure. Weird thing is, I never had this issue until I saw that particular bit of his standup. So damn you Ray Romano, damn you for brainwashing me into being unable to remember. I waste my shampoo because of you!
Once in awhile there is just something so awesome it must be discussed and distributed to the masses. I present to you, Pork and Beans by Weezer. If you go to the youtube page you can watch it in higher quality.
I’ve already watched this video at least ten times, went and got the song on iTunes and all that good stuff. I recognized a good portion of all those meme videos on youtube, but there are still a ton I don’t catch yet. So far I think there have been 24 actually recognized in it by various people. How many can you find?
Edit: Okay here is a pretty comprehensive list of everything in the video thanks to a comment post on digg.com. Most of the titles should link to the appropriate youtube videos.
I guess my coffee smells like cat poop to meeka. (haha) Anytime she’s around it she tries to bury it. She’s already knocked it over a couple of times. Now I have to make sure I don’t leave it in certain places.
I should have posted this on Caturday, but I feel like posting it now.
1.] Do you eat or drink anything while sitting at the computer?
Sometimes I’ll be drinking coke and coffee at the same time. What a combo huh. Guess I have some weird habits. I don’t like to eat at the computer though. You know…crumbs. *L*
2.] Are you in a bad mood?
Sort of. I was sick with a cold all last week and cramps on top of that, so I am kind of moody. At least the cold is almost gone and I can actually breathe out of my nose. Eww I hate that. But the cramps thing will make any woman moody. So…
3.] What was the last movie you watched?
AVPR. It was pretty good except I watched it online so it was hard to make most of it out. I’ll watch it again when it comes out on DVD, which I think is near the end of the summer. From what I could see I liked it though. [edit: I had read somewhere it was suppose to come out the end of summer, guess they were wrong. I picked it up at the store. yay ]
4.] What is the best show on television?
Personally I’d have to say House. I can’t get enough of that show.
5.] Is it true that adults really wish they were in their youth again?
I think most of us do. I dunno…I am happy where I am right now. I don’t think I’d want to go through puberty and crap like that again. Once was enough. But to be young and carefree again, no responsibilities…who wouldn’t?
Man, there are some stupid ‘conditions’ out there, and I think RLS takes the cake. RLS is defined as such:
“Restless legs syndrome is a condition that is characterized by an irresistible urge to move one’s legs (occasionally arms or torso).“
I guess people aren’t allowed to be uncomfortable anymore or fidget. What are we going to treat next with medicine, excessive blinking? This is where Mirapex comes in, to solve RLS with medication you don’t need!
Now it is one thing to be suckered into getting medicine for this, when you’re probably just moving your legs because you’re nervous, deep in though, etc. It’s a completely different thing to accept all its side effects.
Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting, especially when standing up
Drowsiness
Hallucinations
Weight gain
Weight loss
Nausea
Trouble in sleeping
Twitching, twisting, or other unusual body movements
Unusual tiredness or weakness
Several unusual adverse effects of this medication may include compulsive gambling, hypersexuality, and overeating.
Please tell me how ANY of these adverse effects taken directly off of wiki, are worse than dealing with your legs moving around? Yes, I’d much rather have an extremely elevated sex drive, want to waste my money gambling, hallucinate, be drowsy and feel sick all at the same time. Maybe then my fantasy of gambling while halucinating that the chips are singing at me while vomiting at the same time!
This is just pathetic, guess the drug companies need to make more money off of suckers.
