Wow. I haven’t posted in such a long time. Been busy and not feeling like blogging at all. Bad me. So here’s a quick update.

I just dropped Meeka off at the vets. She cracked one of her back teeth and needs to have it pulled. It’s really bothering me because my other cat (of 13 years) got sick right after he had dental surgery and he died. So there are bad memories for me. Odds are she’ll be okay, but I can’t shake that awful feeling from that last time. Blah…

My son is now going to College. Not only does he work hard and has a steady girlfriend (9 months now) he’s juggling school work as well.  I don’t know where the time went. I miss that “little boy”, but yet I look at him now and I’m SO proud of him.

I started a digital portrait painting of Ramsay from Hell’s Kitchen. I have no idea when it’ll be finished, but I can’t wait to show it off.

I’ve been watching the soap All My Children for a very long time now and recently started watching One Life To Live, which is right after it. Yes..that’s what I need. Another hour sucked out of my life. Wasted on soaps. haha (Annie has turned into a little bitch!)

Finally got new furniture for that room that has nothing in it (*pokes Jamie*). I should be posting pics of that sometime soon.

I simply cannot stand this humid weather. Walking outside is like walking into a sauna. I _hate_it. I’ve been on a few late night walks on my street, but I miss going out into the woods with my dog for our ‘hikes’.

I had a funeral to go to that I really don’t want to get into here, among other things. I like blogging but I also  feel like not everyone  needs to know every_little_thing about my life. Especially the [very] personal stuff. But that’s just me. To each his own…

Some nutty questions from Y!A that I thought were worth mentioning (and poking fun at). What are these people thinking?

• Is it ok for a woman to masturbate in public? I have the feeling most guys would say Yes to this one. I’d probably start laughing if I ever saw someone doing that.
  
• When do dear start turning into elk????? First off it’s ‘deer’, and as far as I know ‘deer’ don’t turn into elk (lol wth?)
  
• Is there a way to make my nipples the same size? I didn’t know this was a problem with some women. I guess there is a lesson to be learned here: don’t play with just one nipple. Rotate.
  
• Is it alright to go out with your 5th cousin? Is this a redneck joke?
  
• Why do some spiders lay their eggs under your skin, but geese do not? Am I missing something here?

There were a few more I wanted to add but they were deleted. Wish I could remember what they were about. *L* I think one was about leaving notes to fairies (haha). Weird people.

Cook beats Archuleta by 12 million votes.

Did we see that coming? Even though the night before the judges tried to sway the audience into voting for Archie. Bad, bad judges. But at least Simon apologized to Cook before the winner was announced. Maybe he knew the results before hand and was trying to save face?

So what did you think of the show?

Can anyone say “Blast from the Past”? Does anyone even know who Donna Summers is (err was)? Seeing her being ‘helped’ down the stairs was a bit depressing. And Bryan Adams looks so old. Nothing like making us ‘old timers’ feel much older by putting them up there.

I have to admit I enjoyed Cook singing with ZZ Top. He seemed to fit right in with his raspy voice. And ZZ Top is from ‘my time’, so I could get into it. “Sharp Dressed Man” brought back some good memories. So that was the best part of the show for me.

The worst part (for me) was having to watch Jason Castro sing again. Funny, he sang by himself (they couldn’t find anyone to match up with him like they did with everyone else?) and I couldn’t find the link on YouTube. I guess I wasn’t the only one who didn’t care to see him again.

So David Cook is the New American Idol. I wonder how many people are happy with the outcome, and how many of you are disappointed. I liked both of the David’s, but I am glad Cook won. It could have gone either way for me and I would have been happy.
