Power Outage
Thank God for battery backups is all I can say, the power just went out here. These babies kept the computers and networking stuff on around here so I had enough time to safely shut down everything. Technology is great, isn’t it?
It is always strange when the power goes out though. What makes it even stranger is as I type this the power is out. I have a laptop going on its battery, and the modem + router still on a battery backup. Back when I was a kid, power outages meant sit around and do nothing time because it usually also meant it was nasty outside weather wise.
Anyway, all my batteries are about dead now. Guess I’ll have to sit around with nothing to do while I wait for the power to come back. Gotta also try not to switch switches on out of habit. lol

lol I hate doing that with the switches.
I wound up turning everything off and taking a shower. I thought it was going to be out much longer than it was, was only like 30-40 minutes. Apparently a tree got blown over from a wind gust we got down the road, landed right on the lines. I was sure it was going to take longer. lol
Was odd taking the shower though, because there was no light I had the blinds wide open. Got paranoid someone would see me as I got out. lmao
Thankfully for me and other people the window fogged up. lol

well that’s good it didn’t stay off for too long. I hate it when it stays off for like a day. ugh *L* You have no idea when it’s going to come back on. Wth did people do in the olden days? haha I guess they didn’t know anything else so it was no big deal. But still…go to bed when it gets dark, wake up when it’s light. Eww (haha).

Yeah it really sucks when it stays off forever. Remember the blackout in 2003? That really sucked lol, few days of no power.
I can’t imagine what it would of been like in the olden days, without power and stuff. lol Must have been boring. (lol) What would we do without South Park, 2.5 Men and whanot!? lmao

It’s kinda sad too. lol I can’t do much of anything without power. Can’t even clean up the house without the vacuum cleaner for the rugs.
