Sorry for the lengthy post but it’s stuff like this that is truly sick in the world. I read two articles today about gunmen shooting innocent people. Forgive me if I got a detail wrong about each article, hence why I’m providing the links for you to read if you want to.

The first one is about a man that shot a 7 year old girl six times. Somehow she survived the assault, and further she was trying to protect her mother from the guy. He was some crazy, ex-con from jail. What kind of sick mind do you have to have to shoot at (with intent to kill) the mother of a young girl, her only parent. Not only that, but in front of the kid. Furthermore, how screwed up does your little brain need to be to justify shooting the kid six times for protecting her mother?

The worst part about this that really disturbed me is the police, namely how the dispatcher handled the call, well calls. First she hung up on them after she was told they were held at gun point. Then after a second call she said that there were ‘no units’ availiable to go help them. I’m sorry, but Detroit may be a crappy place to live, but I think the police can spare people to go take care of this guy.

They arrive after the shooting due to the dispatcher’s horrible response to it. The dispatcher should be fired and brought up on charges for ignoring the calls for help and the gunman should be put to death as soon as possible in my opinion. No reason to keep this scumbag alive, he clearly doesn’t deserve the right to live for such a cold-blooded attack.

This second story is about a messed up teenager going on a shooting spree in a mall. I guess he had a few things going wrong for him. His parents kicked him out of the house for unknown reasons, he got fired from McDonald’s for more unknown reasons and recently broke up with his girlfriend. I guess he finally snapped and decided he didn’t want to “burden” his family anymore as his suicide note said, and that he wanted to die “famous.”

This kid must have been seriously disturbed in his head. I don’t understand how he could justify killing random people, while at the same time he didn’t want to burden his own family with himself anymore. Now he gave the families of these people such a horrible burden and his own family that now has to live with the results of this rampage. He has burdened so many people now with so much.

I truly hope this kid burns for this. He could at least have enough balls to deal with the fact he was a “nobody” and only take his own life. That wasn’t good enough for him I guess, he had to cause a horrible tragedy and make even more people hate him instead of feeling pity.

I am not condoning suicide here for any reason, I’m just making a point that you don’t take other people with you.

There are also people who try to make witty comments about these things, try to be asses by cracking a joke. What is scary is that they aren’t even moved by the tragedy, feel no remorse or pity. They think “It wasn’t me so why should I care?” These people are also ones I consider low-lives and scum. Same goes for people who use these events to push their own political agendas. I’m looking at you Jack Thompson.

I truly feel bad for all people involved with these two horrible stories. I hope the wrong-doers get what they deserve, then gunman, the dispatcher and the kid. They are the epitome of what I consider human scum and they are the ones that make me lose hope in humanity.

My thoughts go out to everyone that was hurt in these two events.
