My Dad
My Dad isn’t doing too well and it’s been bothering me. He’s been layed up for a couple of weeks now (sciatic nerve) and getting depressed over it. I guess with the Holidays so close it’s really getting to him, plus not being able to do much at all. He’s usually pretty active but now he can’t do much at all. From what my mom tells me, all he does it sleep, go to the bathroom and shower. It’s not like him at all.
So I brought my dog (Zoey) over to see him last night.
When ‘they’ say animals have a way of cheering people up they are so right. What a difference that 30 min visit made.
It’s weird. My dog knows who they are and loves them. If I just mention ‘meme and pepe’ she goes nuts. She’ll either keep checking out the window for them or go spastic when we get into the car to go see them.
I’m glad zoey could cheer him up. I would have left her over there if I could have (even though it would be too weird for me without her here). But my mom…lol. Poor mom. She loves zoey too, but zoey is sooo huge. I don’t dare stay over there too long when she is with me. It’s like having a horse in her house (so my mom says).
(btw…I’m still in that weird ‘funk’ with posting and stuff. I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything since November 20th. Oo)

It’s good that Zoey can cheer him up, should bring her over whenever possible.
I hope your dad gets better soon. <3
You need to start posting frequently again. lol

i wish i could bring her over there every day. If it weren’t for her shedding so much, and her being so huge, I could.
and thanks <3
I actually feel like posting now. Lately I’ve been so numb to it.

Sciatic can get pretty bad, is he on any treatment or anything?
I remember when my grandpa was very sick he loved seeing/playing with Oreo. Would he (and your mom) be willing to adopt an animal? That could help him *nods*
I hope things get better sweetheart, take your time as we all need it from time to time. Big hug

Cherry…he’s been taking Codeine with Tylenol. I keep telling my mom they need a little dog or a cat but she is against it. We always had animals growing up, and I guess now she doesn’t want to deal with the hair and whatnot. I guess I can’t blame her, after all those years having to deal with all that.
And thanks sweetie. ^^ <3 *hugs*
Orion…a mini zoey *L*. You know, I’ve never had a small dog in my life? It’s always been big dogs (German Shepherd, Doberman Pincher, Great Dane…and now Zoey). It would be weird having a small one.

First… *hugs*
Second, yeah, pets are INCREDIBLE when it comes to helping folks who don’t feel good or are laid up. I’ve seen it with My Kid, when someone brings in a dog. It’s a beautiful thing.

hmmmmmm most small dogs are annoying anyway. Such high-pitched barks and they never shut up. lol

I hear you… I imagine it will be the same with my mom when we all leave the house, even if they know that having animals is good for them.
*poles you*

I don’t like the loud ones. If they’re mellow and quiet they’re nice. lol
