Caturday - The Vet Visit
Since it’s Caturday I get to talk about my kitty…again.
Yesterday I took Meeka to the vet to get her stitches removed from when she was ‘fixed’. I sat there, waiting, for over 30 minutes. When it was finally her turn we went into the room and I swear, it took less than a minute. Ugh.
While I was waiting, there was a woman there with her small child (I’d guess 5 or 6 years old) and a cute little puppy. That puppy was sooo adorable. Big floppy ears and big dumpy paws on a small body. I wanted to take him home he was so cute and sweet. But that kid…wow was he a little brat. I wanted to scream!
The mother clearly had NO control over her child. He was picking his nose and wiping it on the seat next to me (arg). Then he’d take the little pins off of the board that held pet pictures and he’d put them on a chair. He was rolling around on the floor, grabbing the dog, laying on the dog…just out of control. She did try, but there’s so much you can do without spanking said kid. So of course he didn’t listen. I could imagine her screaming at him once they got home.
Okay, so I’m not really going anywhere with that one. I just had to mention it to get it out because I really could have screamed.
Then there was another guy there who just couldn’t sit still. He seemed kind of young, late teens I guess. His shorts were hanging low and I could see his underwear when he stood in front of me while he was checking out things on the counter. God, he was everywhere, and talking to everyone. No, there wasn’t anything ‘wrong’ with him in ‘that’ way. He just seemed hyper. Or maybe he was on something, I dunno. But you could see it on the faces of the people he’d talk to that they really didn’t want to talk to him.
Another thing I had to mention because I could have screamed (again). lol Remember, I had to sit and wait for over 30 minutes. The time clicked by very, very slowly.
And this post went totally off my kitty post didn’t it. Oh well…a little bit of ranting here with my Caturday post. At least I added some cute pictures of her. *L*

that’s the same reason why I’ve changed vets a couple of times; I *totally* hate to wait with a sick, impatient animal next to other sick, impatient animals. It’s easier for me with the kitties because they’re smaller and I just hold them in my arms, but with the dog… just impossible. He has a tendency to play nice and friendly with other dogs and the moment they’re caught off guard he’ll bite them
that’s all I’m gonna say so you guys don’t go all tl;dr on me lol

I can’t stand it when parents don’t control their kids, they’re gonna grow up spoiled and expect everything to be done for them and think they can do whatever they want.
Nothing wrong with a little ranting though, gotta vent sometimes.
Those photos are so cute though. Is she licking her paw or gnawing it in the last one? lol
*pokes bren* <3

orion…ugh yeah, I know it. I was pretty lucky with Bruce I guess. He usually listened pretty well at that age. Thank God. I can’t stand bratty kids like that. eep.
Meeka is…uh…I guess cleaning her back paw. She does look like she’s gnawing on it though doesn’t she. *L* *pokes* <3
Cherry…this is a new vets i just started going to. The other one ended up closing down and moving without even giving any notice (long story). This one I think is getting all the other people from the other place. So it seems like I usually have to wait like that. It_sucks.

hmmmm that last pic is so small it is hard to tell. Why did you make them all so small! lol
*pokes you hard*
I like this one quote about parenting and kids, I can’t remember it word for word but it goes like this:
“Your first kid is like your first car, you love it to death but you’re gonna put some dents in it.”
Talking about parenting reminded me of it. lol
